Dr. Alex A. Rothfeld: Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Alex A. Rothfeld, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon now accepting appointments at our Massapequa location. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries and has published research on shoulder and knee MRI evaluation, shoulder injury scoring systems, and advanced kneecap repair techniques using knotless suture technology.

Dr. Rothfeld earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital. He completed a Sports Orthopedics fellowship at UHZ Miami Orthopedic Sports Institute, where he worked with the Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, and Florida Panthers professional sports teams as well as Florida International University Athletics and Miami-Dade county High Schools.
